Although I do not believe in yearly affirmations, January got off to a great start, and I was happy with the changes and advancements that had occurred since the start of the year. I also received payment for a few jobs and was awarded a new contract project, making it the ideal start to the year.
A lot more stress from Lasu was present in the future; almost all of my earnings had been spent, and my phone had been stolen.
Alhamdulillah, I am on the other side of the curve. This is a reminder that this is the cycle of life, with many ups and downs, but the ones that don't give up and continue pushing are the successful ones.
Yesterday was meant to be the end of a story. I would write about how the journey started, how we persevered over 3 years, and how it finally culminated in a victory, but that was not the case. Maybe because we used to read and watch a lot of fairy tales when we were young, we seldom painted ourselves as the hero of the story, the one who would come at the end to save everyone from impending doom.
Yesterday we were not the heroes, and the heroes were a real fairy tail coming from the last position to clinch the title, and just like something from an anime, all the positions were reversed. This is not the end, as, like a phoenix, we will rise from the ashes and win.
We all go through various stages in our lives of ups and downs, and we are going to fail a lot, but we also win a lot. Sometimes all you need to do is be more positive to see yourself win.
EXTRAS
The yesterday being referred to in the paragraph does not mean it happened yesterday, but I wrote the paragraph the day after, and I am unwilling to change it.
Yesterday in Chinese is 昨天 (zou tian), 今天 (Jīntiān) is today, and tomorrow is 明天 (Míngtiān). They all have “tian” in common.
JARA
Before the West came to East Asia, Japan used to pay tributes to China and had been under indirect Chinese rule. The influence had eaten into their culture, writing mode and almost all of their way of life. The arrival of the West changed the power dynamics. Japan, a country that had once been a vassal state to China, defeated both China and Russia in different wars and wanted to be respected and seen as equals by all states, went on a plethora of vicious acts against its former parents.
